Some Secondary Characters
Dr. Elizabeth Ardo Leading female scientist of her time and mentor to the young Noel Waddlemeyer. Not only is she the inventor of the QPIT (see below) but also she is indirectly responsible for Noel's employment with SHUSH. She has the unfortunate distinction of being the mother of Noel's nemesis, Leon, but she was unaware of her son's animosity. (Dr. Ardo's appears in "The Duck Who Walked Through Walls") |
Agent Dan Quilly A duck of many talents, Quilly is currently considered one of SHUSH's top field agents. Not only is he a crack cryptologist, but he also epitomizes the 'gentleman spy' image to which Derek Blunt aspires. Beneath his polished exterior is a love of pulp fiction and comic book superheroes. (Quilly is mentioned in "Fair is FOWL and FOWL is Fair" and "Out of Sight and Out of Mind", and appears in "As Duck Would Have It") |
Frankie McWetland A graduate student at St. Canard University and classmate of Sasha Darling. Frankie's thesis explores the possibility of reanimating dead biological tissue and her hobbies appear to involve chainsaws. She is a brilliant student, but tends to give friends and colleagues the creeps when she starts talking about her research. She is determined to be a success. (Frankie first appears in "Broc and Noel Revival") |
Graham Quacker A graduate student of St. Canard University and classmate of Sasha Darling. Graham's thesis is unspecific at this time, but will definitely involve lots of explosions, and probably goo. Graham's own explosive imagination tends to sidetrack his main research focus as new ideas and possibilities occur to him. Nonetheless he is brilliant in his research and intuitive leaps, if erratic in the enthusiastic execution of his experiments. In his association with the university, Noel has sometimes found himself as a reluctant advisor to Graham. (Graham first appears in "Broc and Noel Revival") |
Derek Blunt The well meaning, enthusiastic son of a wealthy Scottish sheep rancher, young Derek dreams of being an international spy, much to the chagrin of Noel, Gosalyn and J.Gander. (Derek appears in "As Duck Would Have It") |
Vivian McQuillan An independent woman in a man's age, Vivian raised her daughter, Gosalyn, to be as spirited and intelligent as herself. Vivian is known as a top notch investigative reporter and it takes a lot of energy to keep up with her - and even more to get her to stay in one spot very long! (Vivian first appears in "Reign of Error".) |
